Objetivos

This curricular unit is based on the application in laboratory work of theoretical concepts acquired in the curricular units of Transfer Phenomena I, Chemical Thermodynamics, Petroleum Geology, Resistance of Materials I and Chemical Processes. It is intended that, in this curricular unit, the student acquires the following skills: - Planning, executing, developing and optimizing experiences, in the area of the curricular units to which the laboratory work refers. - Interpret the results of experiments that highlight some of the fundamental concepts of the CUs - Correlate the theoretical models taught with their correct applicability in the treatment of experimental results. - Handle specific material/equipment used in carrying out the experiments. - Evaluate the importance of the accuracy of the measurements to be carried out. - Prepare a scientific report in a clear and objective way.

Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final

The realization of practical work related to the contents of the program of several curricular units. Its realization is preceded by a discussion of the scientific principles and procedures underlying the work to be carried out. Students must prepare the laboratory work, placing the necessary notes, experimental procedure and calculations to be carried out in the individual laboratory notebook (mandatory). Students must present results, calculations and up-to-date discussion in the laboratory notebook.

Assessment: questionnaires carried out at the beginning of each class; student performance in carrying out laboratory work; results sheets and laboratory notebook and preparation of a report and respective discussion/presentation. The final classification will be the weighted average of the grade obtained in each laboratory work.
