Objetivos
To acquire calculation techniques widely used in other curricular units, among which the matrix language, the representation of systems of linear equations and their resolution, calculation of determinants and their applications.

1. Systems of linear equations: matrix representation of systems, resolution of systems by the Gaussian elimination method;
2. Determinants: definition, calculation (Laplace's Theorem, Sarrus's Rule, Gaussian Elimination), properties and applications to the resolution of systems of linear equations (Cramer's Rule) and to the calculation of the inverse matrix
3. Linear spaces: definition and elementary properties; notion of subspace. (In) linear dependence; notion of base and dimension of a linear subspace
4. Eigenvalues and eigenvectors: definition, properties and applications.
