Objetivos
This course is based on the application of the theoretical concepts lectured in the UCs of Transport Phenomena II, Oil Field Chemistry and Corrosion, Materials, Chemical Reactors and Refinery in several laboratory experiments. It is intended that in this course, students acquire the following skills: - Plan, execute, develop and optimize experiments in the area of the several referred UCs. - Interpret results of experiments that highlight some of the fundamental concepts of the same UCs. -Correlate theoretical models taught with the proper applicability in the treatment of experimental results. -Handle material /specific equipment used the experiments. -Assess the importance of the accuracy of measurements performed. - Develop a scientific report clearly and objectively.

This UC can be done entirely at a distance. However, for that, I will have to change the evaluation components. Thus, the components will be:
- Report (in group): 65%
- Oral discussion of reports, by videoconference: 20%
- Minitests (individual work) to be carried out in moodle: 15%
65%report (in group) + 20% oral discussion + 15% minitests
Observações
The Assessment Activity "Classroom Context" refers to the student's active and proactive participation in group work in order to achieve the objectives of laboratory work.
The laboratory work corresponds to 5 modules associated with the curricular units of Transfer Phenomena II, Oil Field Chemistry and Corrosion, Materials, Chemical Reactors and Refinery. All jobs are mandatory. If a student does not perform a work indicated during the period of continuous assessment, he will be given a null classification in that work.
The evaluation activities corresponding to assignments 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 correspond to the group reports, for the 5 modules, with a total weight of 65%. Works 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 correspond to the individual work component for the same 5 modules (Other: mini tests and laboratory notebook), with a total weight of 15%.
In terms of individual assessment of group work, it is indicated that:
- If a student does not present himself in the oral discussion of the reports, carried out with the group, he can be assigned a null classification, despite having signed the work.
- Students from the same group may be given a different classification during the oral discussion of the reports, based on the responses of each student, showing different degrees of mastery of the content of the work carried out.
