Objetivos

It is intended that the students acquire basic knowledge and competence in Structural Analysis and Modelling (in a linear elastic context) by learning how to: conduct symmetry simplifications in thin plates and skeletal structures; obtain statically and cinematically admissible solutions in thin plates; solve skeletal structures using the force method and the displacement method (though matrixial calculus) considering applied forces, temperature variations and foundation displacements; use of software for structural analysis to solve skeletal structures and model slab panels with grid elements. Particularly, it is intended the students develop the adjustment ability to new situations as well as the ability to appraise critically each step of the solution procedure.

SYMMETRICAL STRUCTURES UNDER SYMMETRICAL AND ANTI-SYMMETRICAL ACTIONS. Symmetric and antisymmetric divisions. Simplifications of symmetry and anti-symmetric. 4. ISOSTATIC structures. Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem

Theoretical classes using expository technique and trying to stimulate students' reasoning and critical thinking. Practical classes where students solve the exercises autonomously, guided by the responsible teacher.

Following the epidemiological situation caused by CORONVÍRUS SARS-COV-2, with impediments of students to obtain visas or travel for mobility, as well as the existence of virtual mobility, the following was applied:
- Synchronous classes with face-to-face classes through the Zoom Platform, with the presentation of theoretical matter as well as achievement and explanation of theoretical implementation exercises.
There were some assessments made at a distance, in which the test module at Moodle was resorted, with distinct statements on the same matter for students in situations referred to above.
