Objetivos
The curricular unit Construction Processes II appears in the continuity of the curricular unit of Processes of Construction I.
Resultados de aprendizagem e competências
It is intended that the student acquires skills of construction processes in the area of coatings, from the buried surfaces to the roofs of buildings. It is thus intended that the student acquires skills to be able to choose the most appropriate solutions in each case, in view of all constraints.

Chapter 1. Buried floors - Waterproofing and drainage solutions. Systems of waterproofing and drainage of walls and floors in contact with the ground.
Cap 2 - Walls - Coatings of walls and ceilings with application adherent to the support or independent of the support. Classification. Types of materials: mortar in plaster, natural or artificial stone or ceramic coatings, ETICS, type coatings, plate coatings applied on "ventilated facades" with thermal insulation, paint coatings. Most frequent anomalies and their origin.
Chap. 3 - Flooring - Types of coating materials: natural stone, ceramic tiles in interior and exterior floors, linoleum or vinyl. Classification of floor coverings.
Chap. 4: - Windows and glasses - Systems of frames. Types materials. Windows frames. Ventilation. Chap. 5 - Roofing - Inclined and flat roofing's solutions for buildings; structures and coating elements. Important specific locals. Waterproofing systems for single zones with inclined and flat roofs.

Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem
The contents of the course are presented throughout the classes using slide shows. At the end of each class, students carry out a short form or constructive details on the given subject. The constructive participation of students in classes is encouraged and valued. Whenever possible, study visits will be made to new or remodeling works. Seminars are organized for students.

100% evaluation in class, work sheets, group work and two tests or 80% exam and 20% group work or 100% exam
Fraud Mitigation Mechanisms
In distance assessments, students will have to have the Chamber turned on, the exercises and
questions proposed in the assessments will be different for all students, students will be
separated by rooms and should, when asked, show the teacher the evolution of the resolution
of exercises.
