Luís António Pissarra de Matos Agonia Pereira is a professionalised secondary school teacher in Recruitment Group 550, Computer Science.

He has also been a guest lecturer at the Setúbal Polytechnic Institute for the last three academic years, teaching Introduction to Computer Science in the first semester of the Logistics CTeSP course at IPTRans in Loures, and Data Modelling in the first year of the Information Systems Management degree and Data Mining in the second year of the Bioinformatics degree. Her academic background includes a degree in Computer Science from the Universidade Autónomo de Lisboa; a Master's degree in Educational Sciences, specialising in Educational Informatics, from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa; a PhD in Educational Sciences, specialising in Technologies, Networks and Multimedia, from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa; and postgraduate studies in Educational Administration and Management from the Universidade Aberta.

He has extensive experience in the field of Information Systems, having been the Director of the Information Systems Department of a national company for around 19 years.

Luís has dedicated his professional life, among other activities, to training young people, adults and teachers, endeavouring to improve both his own professional practice and that of his colleagues. In this context, he has carried out research in the areas of computer science education, technology-mediated teaching and learning, educational technology and information systems in education, with several papers and articles in the area of Information Systems.

His most recent work includes co-authoring a technical book and a scientific article published in the internationally renowned journal Mathematics.
