Objetivos
The student will learn the concepts and fundamentals of Hydraulics with interest for Civil Engineering. Is expected the student to acquire a basic training in solving current hydraulic problems, in particular as regards fluid statics, fluid kinetics, fluid dynamics, flow friction laws, flow in pipes and open channel flows. As a basic science for a civil engineer, students should ensure their individual mastery of the subjects taught.

Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem
Theorical classes were implemented with a strong connection to their practical application, with a special emphasis in the physical meaning of the phenomena under study, without major complex mathematical formalism. The practical classes are focused in problem solving, where students are encouraged to solve the exercises as autonomously as possible. Periodically, lessons take place in the Hydraulics Laboratory, for visualization of the phenomena under study. S

tudents are submitted to an individual evaluation, either consisted of 3 tests . Individual evaluation had a minimum grade of 9.5 val for approval. Students perform 2 laboratory experiences, as a work group. Specific experiences were handled to each group. Laboratory reports were graded 10% of the final grade.In addition, the evaluation also includes a component for classroom participation weighing 5% on the final grade and quizzes will be performed every 2 week weighing 10% of final grade.
Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final
CF = 0,25 T1 + 0,25 T2 + 0,25 T3 + 0,05 R1 + 0,05 R2 + 0,05 P + 0,1 Q
where:
CF = final grade
T1, T2, T3 = evaluation tests
R1, R2 = reports of experimental work
P = classroom context assessment
Q = biweekly online questionnaires
