Objetivos

Analyze the concepts, evolution, general principles of quality, the SPQ and the state of the construction sector.
Analyze quality systems and documentation, their framework and applicability in the civil construction sector.
Analyze the qualification of products, processes or systems of people and organizations.
Analyze, evaluate and systematically plan a process or a system within the civil construction sector, integrating the principles, standards, methodologies and tools within the scope of quality.
Analyze the concepts, evolution, general principles of economy and functioning in society and in the civil construction sector.
Analyze the economic and financing instruments of organizations.
Assess the economic viability of alternative projects, through cost / benefit analysis; investment period and decision-maker behavior in the face of uncertainty and risk.
Apply computer tools in feasibility studies and financial calculations.

Resultados de aprendizagem e competências

Theoretical and theoretical-practical classes:
Expositive and interactive using audiovisual media and / or others, in which it seeks to stimulate students' reasoning, critical thinking, self-knowledge and communication skills.
Applications of methodologies and tools in the scope of quality, analysis of investment projects, decisions with uncertainty and with the analysis of the decision-maker's behavior in relation to risk.
Carrying out the practical works that constitute the evaluation of the discipline, with the guidance and monitoring of the teacher, stimulating the capacities to analyze, research, evaluate, select information, systematize, plan, communicate, create solutions, work in teams, organize space, temporal and
financially activities in the workplace;
E-Learning Activities:
Works to apply the economic and financial functions of Microsoft Excel, developing the use of computer tools.
Asynchronous activities, in order to stimulate research, analysis, evaluation and comment on themes and concepts in the scope of the economy.
Synchronous activities, with a view to monitoring the development and study of the respective themes.

Quality in Construction: Concepts, evolution, principles, SPQ and framing with Civil Construction. ISO 9000 standards: Vocabulary. Quality Management System. Construction Process Flowcharts. Management Systems Audits: NP EN ISO 19011: 2003. Quality of Construction Products: Certification and Homologation. Systems of attestation of conformity. CE marking. LNEC's Quality Mark. Integrated Management Systems.

ECONOMY
Construction Economics: Concepts, evolution, principles. Demand, supply, market and elasticity. Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. The value of time. Accounting: Financial Statement. Analysis of investment projects. Real Estate Market: Origin of the value and usefulness of real estate. Market segments, investment location. Investment Strategy and Decision: General concepts. Comparison of investments. Decision models with uncertainty and risk. Excel economic and financial functions.
