Continuous assessment

NF= 30% (1 test)+ 30% (1test)+ 20% (written project)+ 20% (presentation of the project )

Exam
NF =  (60%) Exam + 40% (Group work: written project+ presentation of the project) 

Exceptional clause: it comprehends assessment elements, such as the group assignment, which cannot be submitted in the exam epoch.

 

Observations:

The grade of the English Project has a weight of 40% in the final mark, since it is an essential element of assessment because it has implicit important competencies such as writing/ communication/speaking+ students' ability to work within a team.

Provas e trabalhos especiais

In order to obtain a final mark, the English project must be concluded. It has two parts: a written part (20%) plus an oral presentation (20%). The development of the English project is included in the continuous assessment period.

Only available in Época de Recurso. Students need to contact the Academic Division and fill a sepcific form (request to improve the mark in a certain curricular unit).

Observações

The English Technical Project is mandatory. If it is not concluded, students won't obtain a final mark in the UC. Therefore, to write the exam, students must have their English Projects already assessed, otherwise they won't be afforded a mark in Technical English.
Project submissions or presentations are not allowed at this stage of assessment.
