Objetivos
It is intended that students consolidate the knowledge acquired throughout the course, from the various disciplines and scientific areas, through the handling and assembly of integrated chains of instrumentation, automation and control systems. Based on a set of equipment available students should develop, design and implement solutions typically used in industrial processes.
Resultados de aprendizagem e competências
Consolidation and integration of knowledge acquired during the course in various disciplines, through the handling and assembly of integrated chains of instrumentation and control systems.
Modo de trabalho
Presencial
Pré-requisitos (conhecimentos prévios) e co-requisitos (conhecimentos simultâneos)
The frequency and approval in this discipline presupposes that students have basic knowledge about electrotechnology, instrumentation, control and signal processing.
(Omitted issues respect the current legislation and the internal rules and regulations of the management bodies of ESTSetúbal / IPS).
Programa
Selection of instruments suitable for a particular purpose.
Calibration and testing of instruments.
Design and assembly of a closed chain with pneumatic instrumentation.
Design and assembly of a closed chain based on a programmable controller.

Obtenção de frequência
The assessment of students' knowledge in the discipline is carried out through Laboratory Work and 2 Tests.
a) Laboratory Work
•Laboratory work is done in groups.
•Students will have to carry out the proposed laboratory work.
• The submission of reports is mandatory and will be made, at most, within one week after its conclusion. Only students who have performed the respective laboratory work sign the report.
•The laboratory grade is obtained through the arithmetic average of the grades of each work.
•The minimum grade for laboratory work should be 10 points.
•A minimum attendance of 70% of laboratory classes is mandatory;
b) Tests
•Tests are carried out individually.
• Passing the Tests implies obtaining an average rating equal to or greater than 10 points, with the minimum rating in any of the Tests being 8 points.
• Access to taking exams implies that they have obtained a minimum laboratory grade of 10 points and had a minimum attendance of 70%.
Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final
1. The final grade of the course (NF) is obtained by means of the weighted average of the test score (TE = 0.4 * TE1 + 0.6 * TE2) with the laboratory grade (TL) and according to the following expression :
NF = TE x 0.4 + TL x 0.6
2. Final scores higher than 17 must be defended in oral tests.
