Objetivos

The "Aeronautical Production" course unit (UC) focuses on the specific component production processes for the aeronautical industry. The aim of this course is that students complement the knowledge acquired in the mechanical technology courses existing in the previous semesters of the curriculum.

Resultados de aprendizagem e competências

Know how to interpret orthogonal projection drawings, dimensioning, dimensional and geometric tolerance, and surface states.

Know how to interpret and specify, in terms of their operational variables, the cut-off, break-in, and thermal cutting operations.

Know how to program CNC machine tools.

Know and understand the heat treatments applied before and after forming the material.

Know how to interpret and specify, in terms of their operational variables, the operations of bending, stamping, and rubber forming. manual component adjustment processes.

Know how dimensional and structural component control is performed.

Know how chemical and electrochemical surface treatments are performed, as well as their fields of application.

Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem

Theoretical-practical classes are composed by an expository part of the subject, with the discussion of practical cases that facilitate the understanding of the subject and its application. Students are encouraged to participate in the discussion on the implementation and specification of operating parameters in terms of the different processes.

In the Laboratory-Practical classes, students under group supervision, under the supervision of the teacher, carry out experimental assignments that help the students to have a practical knowledge of the subjects, based on specific guides and report presentation.

Final Classification = Theoretical-practical (50%) + Laboratory (50%)

Students who obtain a Final Classification higher than 17 will be subject to an oral test to assess their knowledge. In case the student is not interested in defending his grade, he will be assigned a final classification of 17 values.

Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final

Theoretical-Practical (TP): Exposition of the subject, with discussion of practical cases.

Laboratory Practice (PL): Experimental works that help the practical knowledge of the subjects.

Distributed assessment without final exam:

  1. TP: 2 Tests and 1 Research Paper (TPesq)
  2. PL: 4 Laboratory Works

Final Classification (NF): NF = 0.35 * T + 0.15 * TPesq + 0.5 * L

T - average of the test scores;
TPesq - Research Paper classification;
L - average of the Laboratory classifications

Conditions for approval: L> = 10 values; Score in each test> = 10 values; NF> = 10 values.

At the time of exams, students can either recover one of the tests or take a final exam (PF) that replaces both tests.

Final Classification (NF): NF = 0.35 * T + 0.15 * TPesq + 0.5 * L

PF - Final Exam classification;
TPesq - Research Paper classification;
L - average of the Laboratory classifications

Conditions for approval: PF> = 10 values; L> = 10 values; NF> = 10 values.
