Objetivos

Make students face technology problems in the biomedical area; Enhance the capacity of analysis and synthesis, allowing to integrate technical and scientific knowledge acquired in various subjects of the course; Develop oral and written expression capabilities through the execution of written reports and oral presentations; Develop a critical sense and strengthen their self-confidence, autonomy, planning capabilities, preparation of teamwork and interpersonal relationships; Knowing how to promote to potentially interested parties the work result.

Resultados de aprendizagem e competências

“Project” option The development of a project in a simulated reality environment, enables the student to face problems similar to those that an engineer will face in his professional activity. This stimulates the student to improve his analysis and synthesis ability, critical sense and strengthens his self-confidence, autonomy and organization at work. To complete the project the student must integrate knowledge acquired during the course and demonstrate the skills acquired during the whole course. The preparation of detailed project report and the public presentation of the work force the student to improve writing and speaking skills.

“Traineeship” option The traineeship in a real working environment allows students to acquire a set of skills fundamental to the performance of their work. The elaboration of a technical report and its public presentation, forces the student to develop the skills of writing and speaking

Programa

“Project” option Execution of a project that matches the resolution of a particular problem resulting in a "finished product". The development of the project takes into account the phases of planning, implementation and testing, based on the documentation produced during problem specification.

“Traineeship” option Enterprise traineeship in the area of expertise followed by the elaboration of a technical report of the traineeship.

In this curricular unit, the work is developed autonomously by the students under the supervision of a teacher. Typically a weekly meeting is scheduled between the student group and the supervisor. In the case of “Project,” the students have access to rooms equipped with test and measuring equipment, dedicated to this course. These rooms are available to students seven days a week.
The work (project or traineeship) is evaluated in a public session by a jury composed of three elements:
• President;
• Supervisor;
• Examiner.
The evaluation is made according to the following parameters:
• Planning;
•Technical and scientific quality;
• Written report and associated documentation;
• Oral presentation and discussion.

Observações

1-Os documentos necessários para a entrega do relatório de projetos/estágios estão disponíveis no link IPS - Entrega Relatório/Licenciaturas.


2-A discussão do projeto/estágio terá a duração máxima de 1h00 sendo, 15 minutos para a apresentação, 30 minutos para a discussão.
 
3- As discussões dos relatórios finais de projeto/estágio só serão realizadas após a validação da Divisão Académica.
