Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem

In TP classes one tries not to impose contents, but to ask students to rediscover, by themselves (and with a little guidance), the syllabus topics.
PL classes are used to perform laboratory work and to solve physics problems related to students everyday life.
E-learning autonomous work includes mandatory and suggested reading, suggested video watching, tests, lessons (optional) and frequent emails between RUC and students through the use of thematic fora.

Obtenção de frequência

Students can be assessed in two ways:
Assessment A considers:
(i) several (small) tests in Moodle (as well as other activities performed using Moodle) and laboratory work;
(ii) reports on laboratory work (with grade higher than 10/20, each), and;
(iii) two individual tests (made while in the classroom) with grade higher than 8,00/20,00, each, and ensemble average higher than 10/20.

Assessment B:
Considers and is equal to the exame grade. It must exceed 10/20 and also depends on having completed the mandatory laboratory work with laboratory work reports graded 10/20 or higher.

Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final

Assessment A considers the following expression; see meaning of (i), (ii) and (iii) above:
classification A = 0,70*[iii]+0,20*[i]+0,10*[ii] and final grade > 10/20.

Assessment B:
classification B = Exame grade. It must exceed 10/20 and also depends on having completed the mandatory laboratory work with laboratory work reports graded 10/20 or higher.
