Objetivos
The UC of Project in Engineering and Energy Management aims at the application of the topics addressed during its training and integration of previously taught knowledge in the course curriculum of the course and experience that the student may have. The skills to be developed include, on the basis of a real case in the industry or service buildings, one or more of the following three components:
- carry out an energy audit, propose improvement measures and integrate them into an Energy Rationalization Plan (in the case of a service building, also to include an energy certification component).
- monitor and validate the implementation of an Energy Rationalization Plan.
- Implement an energy management system in a company.
- carry out an analysis of the technical and economic feasibility of transversal measures to improve energy use.
It is also intended that the student becomes familiar with the methodologies associated with knowledge sharing, such as oral presentations, posters and articles.
Resultados de aprendizagem e competências
The student at the end of the UC, taking into account his path in the course, his experience and the individual theme chosen, will be able to develop the following skills:
- carry out an energy audit, propose improvement measures and integrate them into an Energy Rationalization Plan (in the case of a service building, include an energy certification component).
- accompany, monitor and validate the implementation of an Energy Rationalization Plan.
- Implement energy management system in a company.
- carry out an analysis of the technical and economic feasibility of transversal measures to improve energy use.
- prepare a poster and write an article to publicize the project developed.

The presentation will have a maximum of 20 minutes. The test will take a maximum of 60 minutes. The student will have a response time equivalent to that used by the members of the jury.
The classification of the Final Report and Discussion will have the following components: Technical-scientific quality (60%), Public Presentation Quality (10%) and Public Discussion (30%). The student is approved if the majority of the members of the jury give a classification equal to or greater than 10 values.
Deadlines: according to IPS Regulations
