Programa

The internship program involves the definition of the professional activity that the student will develop within the scope of their training in the work context.
The internship proposals agreed between the RCU and the internship supervisor, must be clear about the objectives that are intended to be achieved with the internship, the responsibilities of the parties involved (defined in the regulation and internship protocols), and results that must be evidenced in the writing of the report and its public presentation.

Due to the diversity of works that may be developed, apart from the bibliography of the remaining curricular units of the course, there is no specific bibliography for this curricular unit. This must be defined within the scope of the preparation of the internship proposal and must be framed, mostly, in the specialty areas of the course.

During the internship, students follow a work plan (agreed between the person in charge and supervisor of the internship) that must be in accordance with the company's professional activity, with the objectives of the course, and with the specific objectives of some curricular units.

Obtenção de frequência

At the end of the internship, the student presents the internship report regarding the activity developed, which is discussed in accordance with the internship regulations of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal.

Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final

Students who obtain a final classification, expressed in the range of 10 to 20 values, in the Portuguese classification scale are considered approved.
The stage classification should reflect two components:
1) The evaluation of the trainee student's performance during the internship, under the responsibility of the supervisor and supervisor, with a weighting of 60 %;
2) The quality of the report and the quality of the presentation/discussion, with a weighting of 40 %.
