Objetivos
- Know how to read and interpret technical drawings;
- Know how to perform technical drawings using multiple views representations, perspectives and schematic drawings;
- Know the main standards of technical drawing;
- Know the main modes of representation used in technical drawing;
- Know how to use computer-aided design (CAD) to represent technical drawings and schematic representations;
- Develop skills for the future progression in CAD systems

- Distinguish between technical drawing and artistic drawing and know the main norms.
- Execute technical drawings in multiple views; Knowledge of the main modes of representation; Ability to perform graphic representation using orthogonal projections.
- Ability to decide on the need to use cuts and sections and to graphically represent cuts and sections.
- Distinguish the advantages and disadvantages between modes of representation; Have the ability to spatially display objects; Know how to properly sketch freehand perspectives.
- Know how to carefully select the dimensions in a drawing and apply the dimensioning techniques with diverse representations and applications.
- Know how to read and analyze technical drawings of architectural and eng. and interpret and symbolically represent water and air distribution networks.
- Know how to draw objects according to current standards using CAD systems and use the drawing modules

- General Aspects of Technical Drawing
Introduction to technical drawing and basic standards
- Orthogonal Projections
Types of flat geometric projections. Representation in multiple views. Representation of freehand drawings.
- Cuts and Sections
Definition of cuts and sections. Types of cuts;
- Quick Perspectives
Advantages and disadvantages between different modes of representation. Sketching by hand the perspective of an object from the object itself or from the representation in multiple views;
- Dimensioning
General aspects about dimensioning; Principles of dimensioning; Isometric dimensioning
- Technical Drawing in Architecture
Conventions used in the representation of buildings. Symbology used in the design of water and air distribution networks in buildings.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
Familiarization with CAD systems. Symbolic representations in architectural drawings. Introduction to parametric design. Generation of technical drawings with dimensions and annotations.
