Programa

The student can choose one of two ways:

Project - Development of a complex engineering project that corresponds to the resolution of a problem concrete, in the form of a “finished product”. The project development takes into account the planning, realization and testing phases, based on the documentation produced during problem specification.

Internship - Carry out a curricular internship in a company in the area related to the course.

Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem

Project - Autonomous project development and implementation work with tutorial support to students in the different phases of the project.

Internship - It takes place in a work environment in a company related to the course, with the student being supported by a supervisor from the company where the internship takes place and an advisor from ESTSetúbal.

Obtenção de frequência

Project - The project to be carried out by the students is considered completed with the delivery of a prototype that performs the functions specified in the proposal, accompanied by the following materials:
      a) Installation and user manuals, which allow any user to install and operate the prototype.
      b) Poster of the work done in A1 size.
      c) Report that describes in the necessary detail and depth all the important stages of the project, namely: specification, implementation and evaluation of the results.
      d) Pen containing in digital format all the pieces developed during the project.

The project is evaluated in a public session by a jury made up of at least three elements:
      - The UC responsible
      - Work advisor. Whenever the project is carried out in partnership with a company, it is desirable that an element indicated by the company integrates the evaluation jury of the work.
      - The Argue.

The project evaluation is carried out according to the following parameters:
      a) Planning;
      b) Technical and scientific quality of the work carried out;
      c) Quality of the report and associated documentation;
      d) Presentation and oral discussion.

Internship - Students who choose to do an internship in a company in the area related to the course will be evaluated according to the regulations in force.

Final grade = 0.2AP + 0.3Rel + 0.5TD

AP - public defense note of project or internship report
Rel - project or internship report note
TD - grade of work developed in the project or internship

NOTE: Partial marks will be awarded by each member of the jury nominated for the public defense of the report.

Observações

The deadline for public defense of the Internship/Project Report for the 2022/2023 academic year will be until December 20, 2023.
