Objetivos

Introduce the study, knowledge and understanding of the basic structural (anatomy) and functional (physiology) concepts. General concepts of histology. Basic principles of the muscular physiology.
Constitution and operation of the various systems of the human body.
Stimulate the students’ interest in research and in the exercise of critical thinking learning.

Resultados de aprendizagem e competências

It is intended that students acquire, as a result of learning, a global view of the topics covered and their interconnections. It is intended that they can apply concepts of anatomy and physiology to the area of biomedical technology, namely in the development of tools, equipment and applications.

Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem

The teaching of anatomy and physiology is essentially based on the articulation of exhibitive,
demonstration and active methods. Classes should proceed leveraging prior knowledge of students
articulating these concepts to address in an integrated and deeper way the syllabus
