The evaluation of the theoretical component can be obtained through an exam, with 2 distinct periods: Normal period, Resource period (there is also a Special Period but only final year students, working students and association leaders have access) with a minimum grade of 9.5 values. In ALTERNATIVE to the regular period exam, the student can obtain success in the theoretical component through the realization of 2 interim tests.

The minimum grade of each test is 8 and the average of both tests being higher than 9.5. If the student obtains a grade lower than 8 in one of the tests, he can pass the theoretical component by taking the aforementioned exam.

Laboratory Grade - NL

NL higher than 9.5.

The grade of the laboratories (NL) is estimated based on the individual performance of the student and will depend on the factors referred in the course rules.

Final grade

The weight of NT (theoretical evaluation) or NE (evaluation by exam) is 70% in the final grade (NF), (rounded to the hundredths) and the weight of NL (laboratory evaluation) is 30% (rounded to the

Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final

Final Grade – tests:

NF=0.7(NT1+NT2)/2+0.3*NL

Minimum grade of NT1 and NT2 of 8, however the average of the two tests must be greater than 9.5 (rounded to the hundredths)

NL - Laboratory grade - minimum grade 9.5 (rounded to the hundredths)

NF - Final grade - minimum grade 9.5 (rounded to the units)

Final Grade – exam:

NF=0.7NE+0.3NL

NE - exam grade rounded to the tenths, with a minimum grade of 9.5

NL - laboratory grade, rounded to the tenths, with a minimum grade of 9.5

To calculate the NL, please see UC rules
