It is intended that the student acquire a sound knowledge of the Regulation of the Management System of Intensive Energy Consumption and the Regulation of Energy Consumption Management for the Transport Sector.
The student should acquire the following competencies:
- Appropriately apply the Regulation of the Management System of Intensive Energy Consumption to various types of industries;
- Apply properly the Regulation of the Energy Consumption Management System for the Transport Sector;
- Know how to characterize the energy consumption of industrial processes and transport;
- To identify and quantify opportunities for rationalization of consumption and increase of energy efficiency in industry and transport;
- Know how to draw up a plan to rationalize energy consumption.
The Management System of Energy Intensive Consumption (SGCIE).
Characterization of energy consumption in industry. Energy-intensive consumer installations.
Main industrial processes transforming energy. Energy conversion factors.
Energy and carbon intensity. Specific Energy Consumption. Disaggregation of consumption by products.
Rationalization Plans for Energy Consumption. Evaluation of costs and benefits. Procedures. Surveillance, incentives and penalties.
Opportunities and energy efficiency measures in industry.
Transverse measures: Electric motors; Production of heat and electricity; Compressed air; Steam distribution; Efficiency of the industrial process.
Sectoral measures: Food and beverages; Ceramics; Pulp and paper; Cement; Metal-electro-mechanical; Clothing; Glass.
Energy integration of industrial processes.
Regulation of the Management of Energy Consumption for the Transport Sector.
Characterization of energy consumption in transport.
Implementation of energy management systems.
Recognition of Technicians and Entities. Certification.
The teaching methodology will focus on a presentation of the programmatic contents that will be carried out in person, followed by a research-based autonomous work of the students to deepen the subjects, solve problems and carry out work.
There will also be laboratory tests of full scale heating / air conditioning equipment so that students can apply the acquired knowledge to the characterization of these equipments.
The methodology will have a strong online component expected in the time of contact with students and based on the moodle platform that in addition to the availability of content and support material will also be used to discuss topics and clarify doubts.
The evaluation will be based on an individual assessment in the form of a test on contents with a weight of 30% and an evaluation of the work / projects developed by the students with a weight of 70%.
