Objetivos

It is intended to provide the student with an overview of the specialization areas of the TeSP Course in automation, robotics and industrial control, with the aim of developing, in students, scientific-mathematical reasoning skills and the ability to be open to the application of these concepts in the formulation and rigorous resolution of problems in the various subareas of the course.

Resultados de aprendizagem e competências

At the end of this curricular unit, students should have the knowledge::

  1. The various functions of an automation, robotics and industrial control technician;

  2. That allows them to characterize the different types of industrial technological processes.

  3. Base of standardized sensors, actuators and signals and their application in instrumentation and measurement;

  4. General concepts of the relationships between quantities and physical concepts, which are related to their well-defined measurement units.

  5. From the concept of calibration;

  6. Present knowledge of Mathematics and Physics that is more oriented towards problem solving.

Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem

  • Discussion of themes and topics of interest to the ARCI professional area (e.g. case studies).

  • The theoretical contents of the course will be exposed through theoretical/practical classes. Students will be motivated to apply the skills acquired through analysis, discussion and problem solving.

  • Carrying out exercises. This way, it is possible for students to relate the concepts learned in class with examples of structured practical applications.

Necessary conditions for successful completion of this curricular unit

1 - Continuous evaluation

  1. Carrying out four tests (with a minimum classification in each of 8 values (T1≥8, T2≥8, T3≥8 and T4≥8) and an average of these tests greater than or equal to 10 values.  (NF=0.25(T1+T2+T3+T4) ≥10

 2 - Assessment by Final Exam

  1. A final exam (E) with a minimum score of 10 (NF=E≥10);

Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final

NF=E

NF=0.25(T1+T2+T3+T4)
T1 - Classificação do 1º teste (T1≥8)
T2 - Classificação do 2º teste  (T2≥8)
T3 - Classificação do 3º teste  (T3≥8)
T4 - Classificação do 4º teste  (T4≥8)
