Objetivos

Design and realization of industrial automations with discrete components.

Resultados de aprendizagem e competências

At the end of the course the student should know and know how to apply the technologies available for the realization of automatisms, namely electrical automatisms to relays, pneumatic automatisms, and electro-pneumatic automatisms.
Must know and know how to use the design methodologies of combinatorial and sequential systems.
Must understand, repair, modify, design and perform automatisms associated with automatic or semi-automatic processes.

Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem

Theoretical-Practical Classes: Participated expository method. Presentation of the subject with demonstrations and examples. Realization of practical exercises on automated processes.

Laboratory Classes: Carrying out work with assembly of combinatorial and sequential control systems, based on electromechanical, pneumatic and electro-pneumatic elements. Realization of representative schemes of automated systems, using standardized symbology.

Obtenção de frequência

Continuous evaluation:
1- It consists of three assessment moments (MT1, MT2, MT3) whose final average must be equal to or greater than 9.5, for the student to pass the theoretical component of the course;
2- The score of each evaluation moment cannot be less than 7.5 values and its average must obey point (1);
3- If the student does not pass this way, he/she can choose to repeat only one of the evaluation moments that allow obtaining approval in the subject in lack in order to satisfy points (1) and (2);
4- The repetition of the evaluation moments mentioned in 3, will be carried out on the same date and exam room.

Exam assessment:
- For approval, a grade equal to or greater than 9.5 is required.

Laboratory assessment:
1- For approval, a grade equal to or greater than 9.5 is required in the laboratory test;
3- Attendance in laboratory classes is mandatory.

Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final

The final grade (NF) is calculated considering a weight of 80% for the theoretical assessment grade (NT) and 20% for the laboratory assessment grade (NL).

NF = 0.8*NT + 0.2*NL;

It is mandatory that each of these components have a score greater than or equal to 9.5 values.

Installments:
NT = AC or E; AC = 25%*MT1+25%*MT2+30%*MT3;
NL = laboratory test grade (20% of the total grade);

Acronyms:
AC – Continuous assessment grade;
E – Exam grade;
T1, T2, T3 – 1st, 2nd and 3rd test scores;
