PhD in Geotechnical Engineering (Rock Mechanics) at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2008, teaches at Higher Education Institutions since 2005 and at Barreiro School of Technology of Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal since 2010 (Assistant Professor). Head of Department of Structures and Geotechnics (2014-2021) and ongoing Petroleum Technologies Coordinator and Course Adviser.

His research interests are Geotechnics, Energy and Stone conservation.
