Objetivos
Interpret representations of the Earth's surface, knowing the elementary quantities to be observed. Apply methods, techniques and observation equipment that allow topographic representation and monitoring, in support of project development. Recognize methods that use the image for cartographic representation. Recognize the importance of Geographic Information Systems as a support tool.
Resultados de aprendizagem e competências
Skills
a) Interpret and analyze construction projects, in order to obtain an overview and detail that can be transmitted to the performers;
c) To control and evaluate the execution of the work, by comparison with the execution study, collecting the necessary information for management, cost control and billing;
e) Identify and quantify the human resources necessary to carry out the work;
f) Define work sequences and prioritize priorities, taking into account the different stages of execution of the work;
g) Define technical solutions based on the analysis of the available information;
h) Identify and evaluate execution errors and make the necessary corrections;
j) Interpret technical documentation related to the activity developed.

Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem
Theoretical-practical classes where, after addressing the topics, exercises on the subject taught are solved, and practical work is carried out. Some of these jobs are performed by students outside school hours. Thus, in classes the student must learn the methodologies of use and calculation to later, individually or in groups, apply the concepts in the execution of a practical work that consists of the execution of a topographic survey for the elaboration of a topographic plan.

Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final
For continuous assessment students enrolled in Survey Techniques, the Final Grade (NF) is equal to:
NC = 0.3 x ER + 0.20 x T + 0.50 x TC,
where ER (regular exercises) is the grade for the exercises performed in class, T (test) is the grade for the Cartography test, and TC (fieldwork) is the grade for the survey work.
By final evaluation the Final Grade (NF) is:
NF = 0.5 x E + 0.50 x TC.
where E (Exam) is the grade for the exam and TC (fieldwork) is the grade for the survey work
