Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem

This course will take place during the last academic year, with 18 ECTS in the first semester and 24 ECTS in the second half. At the end of first semester, students will present a seminar, making the introduction to the subject, proposing the organization and development of the dissertation. This seminar is presented in open session before the Masters Scientific Committe, Faculty, fellow students and the general public as a way to encourage the exchange of views and appreciation of the work to be done. In the second semester, the remaining work will be developed, focusing on completing the dissertation and its presentation in open session. The result of the work done by each student is presented as a draft version of the dissertation that will be publicly evaluated before a jury. The final grade is calculated by the arithmetic mean of the ratings of the various elements of the jury.

Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final

The student can choose an internship, a research work or a project. At the end, the student must deliver a report, based on the individual work he/she performed during the internship/project/dissertation, leading to the Master's Degree, which he/she presents orally and discusses publicly, before a jury. The final score is assigned by the jury, with minutes being drawn up. The annex to the minutes presents in detail the justification for the assessment, considering the following weights:
- 70% for the document (structure, bibliographic review, objectives and their implementation, application of knowledge, scientific/technical rigour, critical analysis, bibliography and presentation);
- 15% for the oral presentation (support material, clarity of exposition and scientific/technical rigour);
- 15% for oral discussion (security and ability to argue).
