Objetivos

The curricular unit of Signal Acquisition and Processing Electronics aims to study the constituent elements of an electronic system for signal acquisition and processing. Its main focus is the study of analog filters and Analog/Digital and Digital/Analog converters.

Resultados de aprendizagem e competências

The curriculum unit of Acquisition and Signal Processing Electronics provides the students with the skills inherent to the design and analysis of analog and digital circuits, such as the use of computer simulation tools; knowledge of signal processing techniques; the ability to understand and quantify the uncertainties inherent to the measurement of physical quantities; master the use of laboratory equipment for testing, design, and development of electronic systems.

Modo de trabalho

Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem

Theoretical-practical classes are held through synchronous sessions in the course of the Curricular Unit through Microsoft Teams. In these classes, the themes are presented to encourage critical and interactive participation between students and the teacher, to consolidate the acquired knowledge, and encourage students to work independently;

Laboratory classes take place in face-to-face mode, where practical work is carried out that allows experimentation of the subjects taught in theoretical classes. In these sessions, the work carried out by the students is monitored, namely the design and electrical simulation of electronic circuits in the PSpice 9.1 Student Edition program. After confirming the correct functioning of the circuit, the students prepare a report with an analytical study of the circuit, recording the analytical and simulation results, their confrontation, and general conclusions about the circuit's performance. These reports are submitted in electronic format on MOODLE.

Obtenção de frequência

Throughout the semester, students have several evaluation moments, which they require to obtain frequency, which:

a) The grade in each test cannot be less than 10 values;
b) It is only allowed to recover the classification obtained in one of the two tests, and this test can only be recovered on the exam date of the Normal Period. If you fail two tests, obtaining frequency will only be possible by taking the Exam;
c) All students must complete all laboratory work;
d) The grade of each laboratory work cannot be less than 10 points;
e) The project grade cannot be less than 10 points;
f) The grade obtained in the Exam (PT component), from the Normal and Recourse Periods, cannot be less than 10 points.

Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final

The final grade (NF) is obtained according to the formula,

NF = 0.30 * AT + 0.30 * TL + 0.40 * PJ

• Test Grade (Theoretical Test - AT);
• Average of Laboratory Works (TL);
• EAPS Project (PJ).

Melhoria de classificação

The taking of examination tests for improvement is subject to registration at the Academic Secretariat following current regulations. The grade focuses improvement solely on the theoretical component of the assessment (AT).
