Provide basic skills in fluid networks.

A: Students should obtain basic understanding of gas (including air) and water fluid networks.
B: Students should acquire basic skills in the design of the above mentioned networks for the case of building.
C: Students should be capable of using their skills in other applications.

1. Incompressible fluids. Expressions for pressure losses considering different pipe materials and different fluids.
2. Design of fluid networks.
2.1. Typology of networks for urban and building use.
2.2 Statistical concept of design (simultaneous) flowrate. Expressions for gas and water networks.
2.3. Most common design criteria (used in fluid networks).

As an alternative the final grade can be obtained with a final exam worthing 100% of the grade.
