Provide students with basic knowledge about Type C low voltage electrical installations
Provide students with knowledge about the characteristics and working principles of low voltage electrical apparatus.
Students able to understand and design of electrical diagrams for low voltage electrical installations, namely electrical installations in parking lots, shops and homes.
Provide students with knowledge of rules and standards of electrical installations in use.
Provide students with the ability to design electrical installations in a residential building with comercial areas and parking.Knowledge of the main characteristics of low voltage equipment and appliances.
Capacity for interpreting and reproducing electrical diagrams of a Type C electrical installation.
Knowledge of technical rules, regulations and standards in use.
Capacity for designing Type C electrical installations.Previous attendance of the courses: Electrical foundations, Electrical circuits and Electrical Machines. Experience with software, namely Autocad and Cade_Simu. It is the student's responsibility to ensure mastery of the topics covered in the referred courses and in the mastery of computer-assisted design tools
THEORETICAL/PRACTICAL CLASSES:
Lecture, by the teacher, with the support of transparencies, and presentation of case studies. Elaboration of calculations for conduits and examples of conduits layouts.
Seminars can be scheduled on more specific topics, given by industrial experts.
LABORATORY CLASSES:
During the laboratory classes, the Type C electrical installation project will conducted requiring an adequate autonomy from the students. For this purpose, working groups are formed (ideally of three students).
After the delivery of the project, a discussion of the project will be held, where each group will justify all the calculations performed as well as the options adopted by each of the groups.Designation | Peso (%) |

Delivery and discussion of the project and ongoing evaluation.
Continuous assessment (AC) - During the semester, mini-tests or oral assessments will be performed during the class.
Mandatory attendance of at least 75% of class hours (T/P+PL).NF=(0.65*NP+0.35*AC)-AE
NF - Final grade (greater than or equal to 10 points)
NP - Project grade (85% weight)
AC - Continuous assessment (15% weight)
AE - Delay in project delivery (less than or equal to 10 points), 1 value will be deducted for each (calendar) day of delay in the delivery of the projectThe general formula for calculating the final classification is applied.
Working Students, Highly Competitive Athletes, Associative Leaders and Students under the Law of Religious Freedom must contact the person responsible for the course, within 15 calendar days from the 1st day of classes or 15 calendar days from the date of enrollment , writing their relevant specificities, under the terms provided in the respective legal decrees.
In case of fraud or plagiarism of the project, it is classified with a score of zero.
