Analyse, calculate and measure magnitudes associated with electrical circuits in steady state.
Interpret and justify the operation of electrical devices.
Recognize the risks associated with the use of electrical energy, as well as the necessary procedures to make the installations safe.
Understand the management of electrical energy networks from production to end use.
Recognize efficient energy management solutions.

1. Direct current electrical circuits.
1.1 Electric current, voltage and resistance.
1.2 Ohm's Law.
1.3 Electrical power.
1.4 Series and parallel association of resistors.
1.5 Kirchhoff's laws.
1.6 Analysis of circuits by the loop current method.
2. Alternating current electrical circuits.
2.1 Sinusoidal alternating quantities. Period, frequency and angular velocity.
2.2 Active, Reactive and Apparent Powers. Power factor. inconveniences of the circulation of reactive energy in the lines and methods used for its compensation.
2.3 Brief introduction to three-phase circuits.
3. Use of Electric Energy
3.1 Effects of Electric Current on the Human Body. Existing protection systems in residential premises.
4. Production, Transport and Distribution of Electric Energy.
5. Electricity management
