Objetivos
Develop the student's ability to analyze specific problems in the field of biomedical engineering. Assessment of needs for planning research and development assignments in an academic or business environment.
Resultados de aprendizagem e competências
Ability to create a solution to a specific problem in the field of biomedical engineering. Ability to integrate the knowledge acquired during the course in the development of a medical device, health equipment, computer system, diagnostic methodology, monitoring or treatment of a medical pathology. Ability to demonstrate practical results by creating prototypes or solving theoretical problems.

Development of the Dissertation / Project / Master's internship with the objective of solving a practical or theoretical problem, in an academic (Dissertation/Project) or business environment (Project/Internship). Work monitoring seminars in the scope of: 1. Leadership; 2. Teamwork; 3. Interpersonal relationships; 4. Development of the professional curriculum.

Active and student-centered teaching methodology. Individual and autonomous work of the student duly guided through meetings scheduled between the student and the supervisor. Laboratory, numerical or theoretical work in an academic or business environment. Analysis of results and writing of a Dissertation / Project / Internship. Preparation of a public presentation of the work and discussion of it. Writing of a scientific article, based on the results obtained, to be submitted to a conference of the specialty or to a scientific journal.
