Objetivos

It is intended with this Curricular Unit (CU) that students develop of a multidisciplinary project with several valences and with a strong component of teamwork.

- From criticism and self-criticism, through the project development process from the specification phase to the final implementation and testing phases.
- Group work, through the distribution and coordination between the different elements of each group of the different activities associated with the project.
- Search, research, analysis, choice and implementation of solutions to be implemented in the different parts of the project.
- In the acquisition of technical knowledge autonomously.
- In the integration of various components/technologies.
- In their ability to express themselves orally and in writing through the oral presentation of the project and the preparation of a technical report.

Programa

At the beginning, the intended structure for the control project of an equipment is presented. Students will have to apply the knowledge acquired in the remaining CUs of this trimester. Students will be guided so that, in an autonomous way, they find the solutions and technologies necessary to carry out the project.

According to its own project-based active teaching methodologies. Students are guided by CU professors in the autonomous development of the project, in groups and throughout the school term.

Obtenção de frequência

Passing the course implies mandatory delivery of specification and evaluation reports, presentation of the project before a jury (with a demonstration of the project in operation) and performance throughout its execution.
All evaluation elements are subject to a minimum rating of 9.50 out of 20.

Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final

Final grade =
  = 0.30 x classification of work by teachers +
     + 0.40 x report rating +
     + 0.30 x rating of the presentation by the jury

Partial classifications are presented with two decimal places and the final grade is an integer value.

Provas e trabalhos especiais

The evaluation in a special period for senior students, working students and association leaders (or other statutes provided for by law) is subject to registration at the Secretariat in accordance with current regulations. Carrying out the evaluation in a special period will always require the practical development of the project in exclusively autonomous work. Students interested in carrying out the assessment at this time will have to inform the teacher in charge of their intention during the week after the publication of the final assessments in normal and appeal periods to define the work schedule.

Avaliação especial (TE, DA, ...)

Student Workers, High-Competition Athletes, Associative Leaders and Students under the Law of Religious Freedom must, during the first fortnight of classes, contact the person in charge of the CU to present their pertinent specificities, under the terms foreseen in the respective legal diplomas.

Melhoria de classificação

Taking exams for improvement purposes is subject to enrollment in the Academic Services in accordance with current regulations. Grade improvement is governed by conditions identical to those presented in the section "Exams and Special Assignments".
