Objetivos
Promote the enrichment of the professional component and develop the students technical skills.
- Facilitate the insertion of students in the job market.
- Allow the student to develop a project in a real work context.
The student will have the opportunity to develop and apply specific methods in the fields of Automation, Control and Instrumentation Engineering, and/or to deepen learning and promote skills in an external organization.

Upon successful completion of the course, students should, in particular:
- Organize, plan, manage projects and professional or technical activities;
- Innovate in the face of unpredictable problem solving in the areas of action;
- Making decisions in unpredictable work or study contexts;
- Take responsibility for managing the professional development of individuals and groups;
- Work independently and autonomously even in the context of group work;
- Conduct guided research work, collect data, analyze and interpret results;
- Integrate knowledge, skills and competences.

Programa
- Proposal of the theme in the areas of Automation, Control and Instrumentation Engineering: the theme should
- Include relevant issues and problems in the areas;
- Refer to the necessary theoretical knowledge with an indication of bibliographic references;
- Insert yourself in the restricted domain in order to be able to be developed in depth;
- Be adequate to the time allotted for its completion by presenting a schedule of activities.
- Proposals must:
- Be clear about the expected learning outcomes;
- Responsibilities of the parties involved, requirements and criteria applicable to the results.
- Comply with institutional regulations on carrying out internships/projects.
- Internship/Project Development.
- Report writing and public presentation.

Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem
The monitoring and control of training in a work context is carried out through periodic meetings between the student, the teacher appointed by the School and the accompanying person appointed by the institution where the internship takes place.

Obtenção de frequência
The student must prepare a final report on the internship/project developed which must be delivered within 30 calendar days after completion of the internship/project. The work will be evaluated by a jury with the following constitution:
- Lecturer in charge of the curricular unit Internship/Project at EACI who presides over the jury;
- Internship Teacher-Advisor
- Tutor-Advisor of the host entity or, in case of impediment, a substitute.
Assessment criteria are based on achievement of objectives demonstrated by student performance, report quality, presentation quality, and discussion performance.

Internships classification:
A student who has a grade equal to or greater than 10 (ten) is considered approved in the internship curricular unit. The final classification of the internship is expressed on a scale from 0 (zero) to 20 (twenty) values.
This classification should reflect four components weighted as follows:
- Assessment of student performance during the internship (50%);
- Report quality (25%);
- Quality of presentation (12.5%);
- Discussion performance (12.5%).

Observações
After enrolled in the curricular unit, students can start their internship after meeting the conditions required in the ESTSetúbal/IPS internship regulation.
The company/entity where the students develop the internship is assigned by the professor responsible for the curricular unit, after hearing the student.
The internship plan is defined by the supervisor and the internship supervisor, after consulting the student.
