Objetivos

This curricular unit aims to provide students with the scientific and practical knowledge in different fields of the area of expertise, therefore, complementing the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired in other curricular units.

Resultados de aprendizagem e competências

It is intended that students develop a high degree of autonomy in terms of the analysis of real engineering problems, as well as the knowledge of the state-of-art in this area of expertise.

Seminars on different areas of expertise in the field of specialization of the course. These seminars will be taught by experts from the business/industrial environment as well as professors of recognized merit in their area of expertise.

Seminars on a monthly basis.
After completion of the seminar each student prepares a technical report with a critical reflection which is assessed by the teacher responsible for the curricular unit.

Gets approved the student with a final grade greater or equal to 9.5 in the average of all written reports, including the attendance of the seminars.

PS: a grade that depends on the percentage of time of attendance (a sutudent attending the whole seminar has a grade of 20.0)
