Unidades Curriculares

Technical Drawing

PA03 - ECTS To provide students knowledge that allows them to read, interpret and create technical drawings and use current computer-aided design tools.

Fundamental of Aeronautics

PA01 - ECTS It is intended in this course that students develop an interest in the study of aeronautics and that they get to know the main concepts of flight mechanics, aircraft components, aerodynamics and propulsion in order to understand the functioning of the various components, design, materials and aircraft construction techniques.

Fundamentals of Calculus

PA20 - ECTS The general objective of this course unit is to provide students with the basic mathematical knowledge required in the professional training of a top professional technician.

Technical English

PA06 - ECTS

General objective

The objective is to develop students’ knowledge of English in several areas, such as reading comprehension, writing, correct use of technical terms, grammar, fluency and personal interaction. Students will be acquainted with concepts and procedures used in the workplace, and will be able to apply technical language to specific contexts.

Introduction to Materials for Aeronautics

PA02 - ECTS To know the families of materials used in technology and engineering: metals, polymers, ceramics and composites and the relationship between their properties, structure, processing and performance in service.
To know the main materials used in structural applications in aeronautics, with special relevance for metals and composites.

Aeronautical Technology I

PA04 - ECTS
The aim of this Curricular Unit is that students acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge that guarantee an understanding of the manufacturing processes, their main phases and the sealing processes, connection processes by riveting and gluing.

Mathematical Applications A

PA21 - ECTS Provide students with the basic mathematical knowledge required in the professional training of a professional technician.

Automation and Control

PA09 - ECTS Know how to design, install and perform maintenance on automatic production systems.
Know and know how to use the most common technologies in automation, robotics and automatic control.
Have skills in the programming bases of Automata and Robot Manipulators.

Aeronautical Drawing

PA010 - ECTS Provide students with knowledge of design applied to the aeronautical industry in particular with dimensional and geometrical tolerances, adjustemens, surface finish, standard components representation and assemblies.
Enable students to use advanced CAD tools, similar to those used in the aeronautical industry.

General Mechanics

PA011 - ECTS To transmit knowledge about the fundamental laws of Newtonian Mechanics, and their application to problems relevant to the course's knowledge area.

Quality, Environment and Safety Systems

PA07 - ECTS Integrate fundamental concepts of quality, environment and safety.
Develop and implement the necessary requirements for quality, environment and safety management systems. Develop plans, procedures and documentation regarding the systems.
Develop and implement quality management systems.
Integrate occupational safety and health and environmental management systems with quality management systems. Conduct environmental and safety quality audits.
Assume continuous improvement as an element of organizational development. Create a favorable climate for the internalization of improvement in organizations.
Understand the methodologies used in certification processes.

Aeronautical Technology II

PA08 - ECTS The aim of this Curricular Unit is for students to deepen their theoretical and practical knowledge in the areas of cutting processes (by breaking in, by pulling the chip and by abrasive action), plastic deformation, mechanical treatments and non-destructive testing (NDT).

Aeronautical Structural Components

PA013 - ECTS Provide students with simplified methodologies for analyzing the structural components of an aircraft.

Computer Aided Manufacturing

PA014 - ECTS
  • Understand the new Industry 4.0 paradigms and the benefits of using new technologies such as CNC Technology, Mobile Robotics, Additive Manufacturing, Collaborative and Systems Integration in the context of manufacturing
  • Provide a sequence of knowledge for the analysis, design, planning and improvement of production systems.
  • Deepen a set of core knowledge and use advanced production technologies, from technologies associated with the product design and its prototyping (CAD and Additive Manufacturing) to its manufacturing and assembly in larger scale (CAD / CAM, CNC, Robotics).
  • Develop skills to support the use of methodologies and softwares for modelling and simulation, with the aim to optimize the performance of manufacturing and assembly processes or design flexible manufacturing systems (FMS).

Production Management

PA017 - ECTS Provide students with skills to conceive, plan, carry out and improve activities in the area of Production Management.

Company Management and Organizational Behaviour

PA018 - ECTS

Students should develop skills in the field of business management, organizational behaviour, leadership, and team management.

Methods and Processes

PA016 - ECTS Develop skills for:
- associate the most appropriate methods and techniques to the implementation and management of manufacturing processes.
- collaborate in the implementation and improvement of manufacturing processes in terms of their efficiency and effectiveness.

Aeronautical Technology III

PA015 - ECTS It is intended with this Curricular Unit that students deepen their theoretical and practical knowledge in the areas of welding processes, thermal cutting, and other special processes. This knowledge will be further illustrated with cases applied to aeronautical production.

Traineeship

PA019 - ECTS Promote the enrichment of the professional component and application of the student's technical skills in a work context;
Facilitate the insertion of the student in the job market.
