Objetivos

It is intended, overall, that students acquire fundamental skills in the field of dynamic behavior of electrical machines and also in the field of the principle of operation of unconventional electric machines and their applications. Specifically, as a learning outcome, they are intended to be able to interpret and develop dynamic mathematical models of electrical machines, to implement them in numerical simulation programs, predicting and analyzing their behavior, also using laboratory tests and integrating electrical machines into more complex systems, involving aspects of regulation and control. It is also intended that the students understand the behavior of unconventional electrical machines by researching and describing their applications.

Teamwork, communication, critical thinking and the ability of analysis and synthesis will be stimulated as transversal competences.

Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem

At this CU classes we will seek to stimulate the active participation of each student in his/her learning process, making use of his/her critical thinking and initiative capacity.

Generic and introductory guidelines will be given in each of the chapters, after which team work is promoted in the development and deepening of the themes, using the laboratory tests, numerical simulations and research as aids to the learning process. Always with the teacher's accompaniment.

The laboratory and simulation works, as well as the research work, will be developed, preferably, in groups of two students, always having an oral presentation and discussion, before the class, of all the work done.
