Objetivos
Acquire skills in research and development in the area of biomedical project. With this curricular unit it is intended that the student understands and applies research methodologies for scientific information. Use this information to analyze a research problem and assess your development needs in order to design a research project. It is also part of the objectives that students understand the different ways of disseminating scientific results at their disposal.
Resultados de aprendizagem e competências
In order to achieve the learning objectives, the syllabus was divided into four essential chapters. In the first one, methodologies for researching scientific information will be presented, allowing the student to understand their functioning systems andapply them to concrete work in the field of biomedical project. The discussion of different case studies, allows the student to understand the differences between research methodologies, also allowing the correct analysis of the proposed work. Therequirements for preparing a scientific project will also be discussed, which will allow students to analyze their needs and prepare a proposal, namely in terms of task definition, resource allocation and research on funding opportunities. Different ways ofdisseminating results will be presented, allowing the student to understand its usefulness.

Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem
In this curricular unit, students autonomous work is privileged. Each group will be supervised by a teacher, with whom they will develop a small research work, preferably proposed by a company in the area, or included in a research work to be developedsimultaneously. In parallel, the students' work is accompanied by 15 hours seminars or theorical classes to present case studies and research tools and project structuring. The student's performance in the course is evaluated by a final group presentation, in a workshoporganized within the course. The seminars will be held remotely and students' presentations in person. The monitoring of students' work will be done remotely, using remote collaboration platforms.
