Objetivos

Provide basic mobile application skills so that students are able to design, deploy, test, debug, and deploy mobile applications that leverage local data storage, sensor information, and respect basic privacy and security rules.

Resultados de aprendizagem e competências

The predominant methods:
Theoretical classes:
• Expositive, using slides.
• Demonstration, using a computer and / or mobile device for demonstration of examples.
• Interrogative, using questions posed to the students during the exposition of the subject or demonstration of examples.
Laboratory Classes:
• Active: orientation of students in the autonomous development of exercises and practical work in groups of two students throughout the course unit.

Métodos de ensino e atividades de aprendizagem

The predominant methods are:
- Expository, using examples. At the beginning of each practical/laboratory assignment there shall be a small lecture of the concepts necessary for its development. Students are then encouraged (with supervision of the teacher) to develop their work, helping them to assimilate the theoretical concepts.
- Active: guide students in the development of an autonomous project in groups of no more than two students, along the course.

The ESTSetúbal/IPS attendance regulation applies, that is, continuous assessment requires a minimum attendance of 75% of classes.

Students with Student Worker status who cannot attend classes must notify the person in charge of the discipline by email as soon as possible.
Students with Student Worker status have access to continuous assessment without being required to attend classes (except during mandatory assessment periods).

The delivery of the various assignments is carried out by Moodle and the rules and the deadlines are the same for all students.

The curricular unit has several mandatory face-to-face evaluation moments: a test (in the continuous evaluation), quiz, one or two presentations (in the continuous evaluation), oral discussion of the practical work (in all evaluation periods) and an exam (if necessary). Missing any of these evaluation moments implies a zero grade in the element (test, quiz, presentations, practical work or exam) to be evaluated.

In Season of Appeal, the TPs are different from the TPs in the Normal Season (i.e., it implies redoing the Practical Component)
In Special Season, the TPs are different from the TPs in Normal Season and Season of Appeal (that is, it implies redoing the Practical Component).

Access to tests and exams is done by registering in Moodle.

In Continuous Assessment it is necessary to obtain the minimum grade in TP-Phase1, to continue in Continuous Assessment in TP. Anyone who does not obtain the minimum grade will move on to the exam period, not taking the test, nor the quiz.
The TP has a minimum grade. Students who do not obtain the minimum grade will have to go to the Exam Period. In Exam Season, if the minimum grade in the TP is not reached, students will not take the respective exam for that period and will have to go to the next Exam Season.
After the date of the first submission of work, students who begin participating in the UC at that time may not be accepted into Continuous Assessment.

Fórmula de cálculo da classificação final

Continuous evaluation:
Final grade = 50% [CT] + 50% [CP] >= 9.5 points
[CT] = 20% [Q] + 80% [Test]
[CP] = 100% [TP] >= 8.0 values

Regular Season:
Final grade = 50% [CT] + 50% [CP] >= 9.5 points
[CT] = 100% [ExameENor]
[CP] = 100% [TP] >= 8.0 values

Appeal Season:
Final grade = 50% [CT] + 50% [CP] >= 9.5 points
[CT] = 100% [ExameERec]
[CP] = 100% [TP*] >= 8.0 values

Special Season:
Final grade = 50% [CT] + 50% [CP] >= 9.5 points
[CT] = 100% [ExamEEsp]
[CP] = 100% [TP**] >= 8.0 values

Where:
[CT] = Theoretical Component Grade
[Q] = Quiz Score
[Test] = Test Grade
[ExameENor] = Normal Season Exam Grade
[ExameERec] = Grade of the Appeal Season Exam
[ExameEsp] = Special Season Exam Note
[CP] = Practical Component Grade
[TP] = Practical Work Grade

* In the Season of Appeal, the TPs are different from the TPs in the Normal Season (i.e., it implies redoing the Practical Component)
** In Special Season TPs are different from Normal Season and Resource TPs (i.e., it implies redoing the Practical Component)

In continuous assessment, practical assignments may have mandatory presentations to the class in the various phases (see the practical assignment statement).
In continuous assessment, practical assignments may have an oral discussion with the teacher, which is mandatory in the various phases (see practical assignment statement).
In the assessment in normal, recourse or special periods, the practical assignments may have a mandatory oral presentation and discussion with the professor (see practical assignment statements).

Access to tests and exams is done by registering in Moodle.

Grade improvement only in Época de Recurso and upon registration. Grade improvement implies doing the TPs + Exam.
