Objetivos
In the specific context of the current economy, the aim is to provide students with a global view of the Logistics function and Supply Chain Management.

At the end of this curricular unit, students should be able to:
- Understand the role of logistics in today's market;
- Characterize the set of activities of a logistical nature for a generic company/organization;
- Identify the components of a logistics system;
- Know the components of supply chain management.

Knowledge of Economics and Business Management.

1. Introduction to Logistics, notions of Logistics and logistics objectives.
2. Supply Chain Management, logistics system components, Supply Chain characteristics
3. Inventory Management and Provisioning Function.
4. Distribution, distribution channels and transport.
5. Analysis of Logistics Performance. Diagnosis of the logistics system
and logistics performance indicators.
6. Logistics, Supply Chain Management and Information Systems.
7. New trends in Logistics Chain Management.

The final classification will result from the weighting of the following factors:
Final Grade = Tests 30% each + TG 25% + TP 15%.
Minimum test score > 7 values
Final test average > 10 values
