General objective
The objective is to develop students’ knowledge of English in several areas, such as reading comprehension, writing, correct use of technical terms, grammar, fluency and personal interaction. Students will be acquainted with concepts and procedures used in the workplace, and will be able to apply technical language to specific contexts.
The objective of this course is to provide students with basic knowledge of complex numbers and some notions of Linear Algebra (namely matrices, determinants, vector calculus and analytic geometry in the plane).
It is intended that students understand the notions and elementary properties of these topics, so that they know how to use these mathematical tools, necessary in their training as senior technicians.
The curricular unit aims to provide basic skills in the field of Process Control and Supervision.
Transmit the concepts of conditioned maintenance as a complement to preventive maintenance.
Refer to the various techniques used in conditioned maintenance namely vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, ultrasound and extensometer.
Since vibration analysis is one of the techniques that allows the recognition of a greater number of anomalies in equipment, knowledge of the vibration phenomenon will be provided that allows characterizing the dynamic behavior of an equipment.
Know the various sensors and vibration measurement equipment used in maintenance conditioned by vibration analysis as well as the computer applications of data processing collected.
Frequency analysis techniques should be used to allow the diagnosis of equipment anomalies and, in the case of imbalance, vibration analysis balancing procedures will be applied.
