To acquire analytical, graphical and implementation skills for specific situations of trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic functions; to acquire notions of analytical geometry and matrix calculation.
It is intended that the student acquires fundamental knowledge of Chemistry to understand the structure of matter and its transformations. It is also intended to understand the chemical origin of phenomena of relevance in different chemical processes, such as acid-base reactions and electrochemistry.
The main objective is to provide a set of basic knowledge that will enable the student to perform a descriptive analysis on a set of data.
The student should be able to apply appropriate descriptive measures to the data being studied, understand how to sample correctly, and identify the constraints and limits of representativeness of a sample.
To acquire calculation techniques widely used in other curricular units, among which the matrix language, the representation of systems of linear equations and their resolution, calculation of determinants and their applications.
It is intended that the student acquires advanced theoretical knowledge of chemistry, which support the preparation of specialized technical reports with clear, concise, and complete information. This curricular unit also aims to allow the future professional superior technician in Chemical and Biological Laboratory to perform the experimental work with awareness of the scientific bases that underlie it. Thus, the curricular unit is divided into 3 complementary training areas that allow deepening knowledge in chemistry, both at the general level, both in the theory of chemical connection and at the level of the main chemical balances.
The main purpose is to provide students with fundamental knowledge of Physics.
It is intended that students are trained to: equating, simplify, and solve a variety of Physics problems;
interpret and solve Physics problems; to develop analytical skills.
In this curricular unit the student will develop skills in technical communication in Portuguese and English to act with confidence in the international professional context.
The student will:
